My wife I have just recently had an architect designed house built by JR McGlone Construction on a farm on the outskirts of Canberra. We initially obtained 5 quotes and went with John as he was:

- Extremely professional in his approach (which is rare in Rural NSW);

- Spent significant time with us at the front end, to minimise disruptions during the build and at the back end;

- Competitively priced (lowest of 5 quotes);

- Very experienced having built anything from a $200,000 kit home all the way up to an $8m house over the past 30 years;

- Willing to provide referees who had worked with him over the years, who also invited us to their homes to view his work; and

- Provided a fixed quote contract which both parties signed off before any work commenced.

John dispelled a lot of myths about building your 1st home, and it was an extremely enjoyable process to go through. The amount we signed in the contract was the price we ended up paying for the build, which came in under the time allocated despite having the wettest year on record. John always called us, rather than us chasing him; and he is very particular and professional in his attention to detail with his work.

We have been living in the house for 6 months now, and have loved every bit of it!! Recently we recommended John to friends of ours in Canberra based on our experience, and they have had the same positive experience we had.
